Here you are some advices for taking care of your Asolo boots if you want to keep them comfortable and good looking like the first day. We ask you to follow our suggestions in the use of accessories or spare parts. Asolo® recommends choosing carefully the fit and size of the shoes, so that the foot is comfortably locked in place. In this way the foot can't move inside and the problems of wear and tear of calfskin leather, Cambrelle®, Gore-Tex® or other lining materials will be eliminated.

  • After some hours walking take away the footbed and let it dry. If possible, we suggest you to take away also the inner boot.  It is a good rule to take always out the footbed also in order to remove gravel that may have got into the boot and could damage the Gore-Tex membrane, if present. 
  • Eyelets (both outside as well as inside) should be carefully cleaned and dried in order to minimize the build-up of rust on the hardware.  
  • Use only water to wash the plastic shell.
  • Never use chemical solvents.
  • Wash the leather and suede  boots with a damp cloth and a nylon brush.
  • Let them air dry and keep them away from direct heat.
  • Do not expose them directly to the sun.
  • Don't put newspaper or other paper inside the boots, as they would slow down the drying process.
  • Periodically treat the full grain leather boots and suede with specific products.

CLEANER – BEADED GEL CLEANER FOR ALL FOOTWEAR
Brush all loose dirt from footwear and lightly rinse with water. Apply gel and using a sponge or a cloth – rub over footwear. Rinse thoroughly but avoid over soaking. Reproof using Asolo® Footwear Protector or Asolo® Performance Conditioner. Keep out of reach of Children.

PROTECTOR – WATERPROOFING SPRAY FOR ALL FOOTWEAR
Apply to clean footwear. Shake well and spray onto wet or dry leather from a distance of approximately 15cm. Wipe any excess from soles and welts. Allow the footwear to dry overnight before use. Keep out of reach of children.

CONDITIONER – SUITABLE FOR ALL SMOOTH AND FULL GRAIN LEATHER
Apply to clean leather using a soft cloth. Rub sparingly into the surface. Allow the footwear to dry overnight before use. Keep out of reach of children.
